Nitin Desai, a well-known art director and multiple award winner, reportedly committed suicide on Wednesday morning at the age of 57. According to the sources, he was discovered hanged at his own ND Studios in Karjat.

      • He also contributed his expertise to many popular Bollywood films, including “Parinda” (1989) and “1942: A Love Story” (1993) directed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra, “Khamoshi: The Musical” (1995), “Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam” (1999), and “Devdas” (2002) directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, “Lagaan” (2001) and “Jodhaa Akbar” (2008) directed by Ashutosh Gowariker, and the “Munna Bhai” franchise directed by Rajkumar Hirani.

      • Additionally, he was responsible for designing the set of “Kaun Banega Crorepati?,” including the set for the popular film “Slumdog Millionaire” (2008).
