After enthralling the audience with ‘ABCD 2’, Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor are all set to take the franchise forward with director Remo D’Souza’s next ‘Street Dancer 3D’. We much say that the trailer sure lives up to all the hype of it being the biggest dance film Indian cinema has ever seen. The film also features Nora Fatehi, Dharmesh, Aparshakti Khurana, and Salman Yusuff Khan. In the trailer, Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor take India vs Pakistan rivalry to the dance floor. Set in London, the film has Varun playing a dancer of Indian origin who wants to take Shraddha (who will be seen as a Pakistani dancer) down and win the dance championship. Some trash-talk and dance sequences later, Varun and Shraddha’s teams come together to fight for the Indian and Pakistani immigrants. The two actors are also seen sharing a passionate kiss. However, in a rather confusing turn of events, the trailer ends with Varun and Shraddha agreeing that “hum log ek kabhi nahi ho sakte”.
Varun has said that “When Street Dancer 3D was offered to me, Remo and Tushar (Hiranandani) had come to me and made me watch a documentary on Khalsa Aid (NGO), which helps people on humanitarian grounds with food and shelter, regardless of race, religion, borders. He said that Street Dancer 3D is an attempt to highlight peace, charity, and solidarity which is the need of the hour. The actor said through this film, they are sending out a message that dance can also be used as a tool to convey peace. Hence with a blend of drama, romance, and a lot of music and over the top dance routines, the trailer’s patriotic undertone is unmissable. The film is expected to release on Republic Day.
