Superstar Rajinikanth has revealed the title of his 168th film – ‘Annaatthe’. The movie is expected to be a family drama. Annaatthe is directed by Siva and produced by Kalanithi Maran. The music for the film will be composed by D. Imman. Rajinikanth will be playing the role of a kind and thoughtful brother.

The announcement was made by the official Twitter handle of Sun Pictures, the production house backing the film. Sun Pictures announced the project with a motion poster.

The superstar’s last film was Darbar with AR Murugadoss which didn’t quite set the box office on fire. Nayanthara, who shared screen space with Rajinikanth in Darbar, will be seen alongside the superstar in Annaatthe. Meena, Kushboo, and Keerthy Suresh will also be seen playing the lead roles. Another interesting casting choice by Siva is Prakash Raj, who has only acted in one scene with Rajinikanth in his entire illustrious film career.

The movie is expected to release later this year.
