Coolie No. 1 is an upcoming 2020 film starring Varun Dhawan and Sara Ali Khan in leads, directed by David Dhawan and produced by Vashu Bhagnani. It is said that Coolie No. 1 is the remake of the 1995-hit film starring Govinda and Karisma Kapoor which was also directed by David Dhawan. Varun will be stepping into the shoes of Govinda, while Sara will be playing the character essayed by Karisma Kapoor. The shoot of the film is wrapped up in February.

Sara Ali Khan after ‘Kedarnath’ and ‘Simmba’, is all set to impress the audience by stepping into the shoes of Karisma Kapoor. The young actress recently opened up about her experience working with Varun and needless to say she was all praise for the actor. Speaking about the same, Sara reportedly said that it has been her dream to work with Varun.

Mostly, the laborious job of Coolie is done by male but now women are also taking up this laborious job. The Ministry of Railways recently praised women porters in a tweet, which was shared by Street Dancer 3D star Varun Dhawan who plays the role of a coolie in his next movie.

Varun wrote “Yeh hain #coolieno1 (they are Coolie No. 1)”

The film will also feature Paresh Rawal and Jaaved Jaaferi in pivotal roles. Coolie No. 1 is set to be theatrically released on May 1, 2020.
